Welcome
The RCMP VETS Association has been in existence since 1886. The Association came into being out of a recognition that the
training, experience and camaraderie that members had developed during their active service, could still be put to very meaningful
use in individual and collective service to Canada. Members of the RCMP VETS continue to promote activities that are in the best
interest of Canada and they constantly communicate and provide assistance to Regular Members of the RCMP.
The Newfoundland Labrador Division was organized in 1977 with 53 former members of the RCMP present. The Division now has
215 members throughout the Province. They work in support of many community and charitable organizations and events.
Vets also work closely with serving members of the Force in the annual Klondike Night. In 26 years, this annual event has
raised more than $670,000 for charities in the Province.
We also engage in other volunteer projects such as taking responsibility for the annual cleanup of a section of the Trans Canada
Highway (Adopt A Highway), NL Police and Peace Officers Memorial Association.
